Submitting a notice

If you believe material on CourtSense infringes your copyright, email a notice that includes:

• Your physical or electronic signature.
• Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed, or a representative list if multiple works are involved.
• Identification of the material to be removed or disabled, with enough information for us to locate it, such as a link, user name, screen, and date.
• Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
• A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the copyright owner.

What we may do

After receiving a complete notice, we may remove or disable access to the identified material, notify the user who posted it, and take other steps we consider appropriate. We may ask for more information when a notice is incomplete, unclear, or appears unreliable. We do not decide ownership disputes or whether a use is lawful.

Submitting a counter-notice

If your material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, email a counter-notice that includes:

• Your physical or electronic signature.
• Identification of the removed or disabled material and where it appeared before removal.
• A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification.
• Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and a statement consenting to the jurisdiction required by applicable law and accepting service of process from the person who sent the original notice, or that person's agent.

Repeat infringers

In appropriate circumstances, CourtSense may suspend or terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright. We may also act on other serious or repeated violations of our Terms of Use.
